days go by slow they turn and they wind when I can take it I take my time follow the pulse no reason no rhyme the years slip away, the years slip away knowing the measure of growth and decay I try to hold on the years slip away sometimes I feel I'm losing my mind (meow) I'm looking for heaven in the daily grind the dull roar of silence is all that I find the years slip away, no reason no rhyme and I, in each moment, contract and extend in the beginning is written the end the years slip away I'm young and I'm old and so it continues or so I am told knowing the measure of growth and decay the days go by slow the years slip away

pami - bees 04:13
when I was a child exploring the internet busy browsing, modem buzzing I read that we evolved from bees maybe that explains our dancing our interdependency our loss of identity when we're alone humming through the wireless phone staring at eternity buzzing verdant urgency out of sync in harmony maybe that explains our glancing our halting hesitancy balancing precariously one small sting in my hand one less flower for the land as I watch you fade away in the water

pami - eve 03:39
eve where'd you get your name? here at the end of things as they are dark in the east, you are my evening star you are twilight, as we leave eve inhale, exhale eve short sweet and measured, just like you even, even when we are askew even, odd, a bit naive eve inhale, exhale eve turn to me, for reprieve quietly, quietly where'd you get your name? god gave you this name many years ago yours is the first name, it's biblical it speaks of life it means "to breathe" eve inhale, exhale eve

merry it is when summer lasts with fowl's song honey kisses sweet and the days are long take my hand and come along before the summer's past soon the ripened fruit are gone and darkness cast ah, the night is long and my aching vast ay, and the wind is strong take me to where I belong to sorrow and mourn and fast

it's been so hot and muggy forest fires burn near the city the sky turned pink and hazy your hair turned red in the new light what a sight as things ignite each day became a sunset all of history holding its breath let's swim, the water's warm yet stay in long enough to forget that sense of threat so glad we met does our beginning really have to start just as we comprehend we are witnessing the end fresh love has turned the world pink or is that smoke on the brink so much potential, I think so much I'd rather not see burned I wish we'd learned and I wish I knew what to do does our beginning really have to start just as we comprehend we are witnessing the end

josephine's life was a lonely mission lost and confused in a land unfamiliar and wild and though she was there, she was sort of missing you could never quite tell where she was going to go human voices, urging you to come back home human voices, urging you to stick with the known if she was a bird, she'd be flying solo with feathered wings beating a steady incline if she was a kite, she'd have no strings nobody would be towing her line human voices, urging you to come back home human voices, urging you to stick with the known will she fall from the sky someday? or will she burn up in the fiery sun? if she falls down I would try and catch her if she ascends, I'd ask her take me along human voices, urging you to come back home human voices, urging you to stick with the known

one more night until I must go home feeling lonely deep inside my bones holding on to the long light going home to my own life time to say goodbye watching as my time slips through my hands something I find hard to understand holding on to the new light never changed a thing try as you might but it's alright got to find and hold this final shape pull yourself with a roll of masking tape yeah it's a long, it's a long life lived along in a short time blink of an eye the land falls to the ocean an old life finds motion

home again, for a little while perched on a cliff in a house filled with pottery in the battery the tide comes and goes the time ebbs and flows in the battery we wrote down our dreams in our diaries ghosts and old haunts, far away family and we fell into the sea and the old cat is hungy and this old house is shaking and the whole world is turning and I'd stay here forever but out we go again into the eastern horizon gone again, for a good long while
